Mario Mascarenhas, Maharashtra State Head Rajinikanth Fans Public Welfare Association, told ETimes, “We had our show at movie max in Sion we booked three screens so that all fans could unite for ‘Jailer’. It was a different experience, the movie was very good the movie lived up to the expectations of the fans. We didn't get to do much fan activity as the multiplex owners were hesitant to give us much freedom. We didn't have the cutouts but we did perform Abhishekham of the posters in the morning after which the screening of ‘Jailer’ started at 7 am. All fans had only one complaint that we are missing the vibe of Aurora theatre, even though it was a single screen. Fans getting the freedom to do whatever they want no longer exists.”
Directed by Nelson, ‘Jailer’ is a black comedy-action entertainer starring Rajinikanth in the title role, along with Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, Mirnaa Menon, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Vasanth Ravi.
