Raj Babbar remembers wife Smita Patil with a heartfelt note on her 65th birth anniversary

It’s the 65^th birth anniversary of actress Smita Patil today (October 17) and actor-politician Raj Babbar, also Smita’s husband, shared the most touching message remembering his late wife.
The veteran actor shared a classic throwback picture of Smita Patil along with a heartfelt note. "An artist of incomparable genius, a person with such an emotional soul - fondly remembering Smita today on her birthday.You had such a short journey and yet your captivating presence is felt by all whose life you touched. Your influence has been so meaningful," wrote Raj Babbar on his Instagram handle.
Carving her name in golden letters in Indian cinema, the yesteryear actress had ruled hearts with the kind of headstrong characters she portrayed. She died at the age of just 31, soon after giving birth to her son Prateik.
Raj Babbar was already married to renowned theatre personality Nadira Zaheer when he got involved in a relationship with Smita Patil. Later he married her but didn't divorce Nadira Zaheer. After Smita passed away, Raj returned to Nadira with whom the actor-politician has two children - Juhi and Arya.
