Rahul Dev injured during fitness ad shoot in Goa, fractures leg
Actor Rahul Dev, known for films like Champion, Asoka, Awara Paagal Deewana, Aan: Men at Work and Good Bad Ugly, recently suffered an injury while shooting an advertisement for a fitness product in Goa. He fractured his left leg after a platform shifted during the filming of an action sequence. Despite the setback, Rahul completed the shoot and is now focusing on recovery while continuing to train.
Recalling how the accident took place during the shoot, Rahul says, “I was shooting in Goa for an advertisement for a fitness product on April 22, and one of the sequences required me to jump. However, while executing it, the platform meant to cushion the jump shifted, which resulted in a twist just above my left ankle. An X-ray conducted two days later confirmed a distal fibular fracture in my left leg. I have been advised to remain in a plaster cast for three weeks for proper healing. The good part is that I could complete both the sequence and the advertisement.”
While the actor is currently recovering, he has not completely stepped away from his fitness routine. Sharing how he has been coping physically and mentally through the phase, Rahul says, “I am extremely grateful to my beloved Master Shri Tarneivji, whose grace I feel in the way my body is responding to the injury. Making the most of the time at hand, and with His grace, I have continued training the upper portions of my body without missing a day, while using a walker for mobility.”
Rahul also credits partner Mugdha Godse for being a constant source of support during his recovery period. Speaking about her encouragement through the difficult phase, he says, “Mugdha has been extremely supportive and a big help during my recovery period. I am aiming to be up and about in two weeks so I can resume filming. Amen.”
