Rahul Bhat: I love the charm of Delhi 6
After wrapping up a part of Sudhir Mishra’s series shoot in Kashmir, Rahul Bhat stayed in Delhi for two days. In a chat with us, he discussed his upcoming international film project in Kashmir and his research for a screenplay on the region. Rahul also shared his love for the capital’s diverse charms, from Khan Market’s bookstores to the bustling lanes of Old Delhi.
‘In love with many Dillis that form Delhi’
Rahul said that he never misses visiting his favourite bookstore in Khan Market whenever he is here. “Apart from my favourite food joints, that is one place I like. I also love going to Old Delhi. Sometimes I just go for a walk in that chaos of Chandni Chowk. Bhagwan hi janta hai woh poora market chalta kaise hai and yet everyone finds their way I love how different parts of Delhi have a unique character – there is south Delhi, Lutyens Delhi, east Delhi. Dilli mein hi 5-6 Dilli hain,” he said.
‘OTT is a new lease of life for many actors’
Rahul added, “It is a great time for actors as OTT has given a new lease of life to many actors. If you are a decent actor, you will find a job... People are recognising and appreciating talent, not just stars.”
Rahul was at Cannes in May this year for the premiere of Anurag Kashyap’s Kennedy. The actor said, “People have been talking about Kennedy because it went to Cannes... For some films, such announcements and international screenings help.”
