Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, who is making headlines for his ongoing controversy following the viral video of him assaulting a student, has now revealed that Indians arrange weddings abroad to include Pakistani artists to perform at the functions.
Since the Uri attack in 2016, a comprehensive prohibition has been in place, preventing Pakistani artists from performing in India. In a recent conversation with Adeel Asif, Rahat stated that the Indian audience desires performers like him and Atif Aslam to entertain at their weddings.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan claimed that he couldn’t travel to India. He would like to give them some credit; they started hosting their destination weddings in foreign countries because India does not allow Shafqat Amanat Ali and Atif Aslam to come in and perform.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s music was quite loved in India, and despite the ban, his music continues to be widely popular amongst his fans.
