Sachin had won a National Award for the Marathi film 'Nirop' (2007) and as a screen writer for 'Gandha' (2009). He made his Bollywood debut with the Rani Mukerji and Prithviraj-starrer 2012 rom com, 'Aiyyaa'.

“The script is locked and the pre-produc tion work has begun. The film will have actors speaking Marathi and French and also feature certain French actors, casting for which is currently underway,“ informs a source close to the development, adding that the drama will roll in the second half of 2017.
Meanwhile, Ashutosh has also bought the rights of Vikram Sampath's 2010 novel, 'My Name is Gauhar Jaan!' and is also gearing up to direct a stylish, action-packed caper with Farhan Akhtar in the lead. Meanwhile, Radhika will next be seen in R Balki's Akshay Kumar-starrer 'Padman', a true-life story of entrepreneur Padma Shri Arunachalam Muruganantham. While speaking to Mirror (March 1) earlier, the actress was all praise for her costars, Akshay and
Sonam Kapoor.
“I've grown up watching Akshay's films. He's always been in great form. I met him for the first time at the reading and his questions, suggestions and concerns about the script and characters were interesting. I've met Sonam a few times, she's lovely and I'm looking forward to spending time with her at the shoot.“
