Long-distance relationships, we all know, are tough to manage. However, actress
Radhika Apte and her musician husband
Benedict Taylor seem to have tackled the hurdles in their long-distance marriage, effortlessly.
While Radhika is based in Mumbai, Benedict lives and works in London. The two, who got married in 2012, have never allowed the distance to affect their relationship and makes it a point to meet each other as often as they can — at least once a month.
Recently, in an interview with a magazine, the stunning actress admitted that staying away from one’s partner is tough. She said that there are times when you come home and want to be with your spouse, but it’s difficult when he/she isn’t around. Having said that, the actress also noted that loneliness doesn’t have anything to do with physical distance; people can feel lonely despite living together in the same house for years.
Radhika also had an interesting answer when asked about tiffs with Benedict. She that like every couple, she and Benedict, too, fight. However, they never hang up on each other during an argument over the phone, as they both find it rude and insulting. So, whenever they fight, they just tell each other, ‘I don’t wanna talk to you right now’, or ‘Bye, we’ll speak later’. However, within minutes, they will both call up each other and apologise, no matter whose fault it it. Radhika said that long spells of silence following a disagreement can aggravate the situation. So, they always let go of the fights.
