Rabbi unplugged!

Rabbi Shergill is resolved to fight the injustice done against him.
Rabbi unplugged!
What exactly is your take on the Sorry Bhai song?
I had worked with Gaurav Dayal on a song called Ballo. That was in 2005. When a friend of mine said that Jalte hain from Sorry Bhai sounded very similar to Ballo, I checked on November 25. Gaurav had been involved in arranging and engineering the song but Ballo was my composition. Im its writer and singer.
Why had you given Gaurav the credit of a producer for Ballo then?
Producer is a term used internationally.
1x1 polls
Its quite unused in India. I gave Gaurav the credit of a producer out of a misplaced sense of graciousness. I thought it would help him as a producer when he goes international. In fact, my album has two other producers Mauro Pagani and KJ Singh. But a producer is never the owner of the composition. He comes into the picture much after the song has been composed. He is much like the person who frames a picture and is not the painter himself.
But your song, Ballo, has also been accused of being inspired by Aisha...
They can say its a copy of Bohemian Rhapsody, for all I care.
The timing of your case, the release of Sorry Bhai and the Mumbai terror strikes have coincided. Do you still want to proceed with the case?
These are bad times. Im in Delhi now but Mumbai is my town, as well. Very deservedly, the attacks have taken precedence in matters of reporting. But I still maintain that Ive been robbed and wronged. While we react so strongly about the Mumbai carnage, I wonder why we dont react similarly when 300 people are killed by the ULFA in Guwahati or when 50 people died in a protest near Delhi. Such incidents of death are happening with unfailing regularity. Im resolved to fight injustice in every case be it in case of my own song or otherwise. I dont see why somebody else should be making a profit at the cost of me being wronged. Its not just Gaurav who has wronged me.
A shopkeeper of stolen records is as wrong as the thief who supplies them to him. The matter is still pending and will be heard in Supreme Court. We basically want the order vacating the stay order to be set aside. I understand the film has been released along with that song. But, the court has asked them to maintain full accounts of the movie, the sale of audio and video cassettes and CDs and the revenue generated by the film.
