Allu Arjun has been arrested on Friday with regards to the tragic stampede tragedy which took place on December 4 at Sandhya theatre in Hyderabad. At the premiere of 'Pushpa 2', a stampede took place as fans flocked to the theatres and in this, a 39-year old woman passed away. Her son got injured. An FIR was filed by the family of the deceased, due to which Allu Arjun has been arrested by police today.

Meanwhile, as the star gets arrested, fans have come out in his support. A letter written by Sandhya theatre to the Hyderabad police to provide security for this event on December 4, has now gone viral.



This letter was addressed to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad by Sandhya Theatre. They had requested the police to provide security and arrangements at the theatre for December 4. A user had shared this letter on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "As per reports, Sandhya Theatre had written a letter to police ACP to provide bandobust as they expected heavy rush on release of the movie. Did @TelanganaCOPs provide security & taken steps to avoid a stampede? Arrested an actor only to cover up their ineffective policing."


After his arrest, Allu is now in court for the hearing for the bail. According to the latest report, the victim's husband is set to withdraw his complaint regarding the stampede.

Meanwhile, undeterred from all this, 'Pushpa 2' has been soaring high at the box office and now crossed Rs 700 crore nett in India.
