The saga between producers of
Shehzada
and
producer Manish Shah
who has the rights to the Hindi dubbed version of the original ‘
Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo
’ has a new development. ETimes reached out to Shah after Shehzada producers, Bhushan Kumar and Aman Gill, came out in support of
Kartik
Aaryan. Shah offered a rebuttal to reports that mentioned Kartik had not threatened to walk out of the remake if the dubbed version were to release before the Hindi dub. Shah said, “The producers of the film Shehzada told me that if I release ‘Ala
Vaikunthapurramuloo
’ in theatres they will have to stop the production of Shehzada.”
Shah mentioned that he’s not one to disrupt plans of other producers and artistes, which is why he’s altered his plans for an amicable solution. According to
Shah the Hindi dub
of Allu Arjun’s ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ will now release on television. The film will be telecast on a popular Hindi channel on February 5.
Shah had alleged in previous reports that Kartik Aaryan had threatened to walk out of the Hindi remake if the dubbed version released in theatres, as Shah had planned. But then, the producers and director of Shehzada, which is the official remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, came out in support of Kartik, stating that he had not made any threats and was passionate about the project as well as a thorough professional.
With the Hindi dubbed version now heading to TV, it looks like this saga has certainly found its resolution.
