Now, Priyanka Chopra has taken to her Instagram stories to congratulate Payal Kapadia's 'All We Imagine As Light' and her team for their big win at the Cannes Film Festival.

Sharing the picture of Payal Kapadia and her team from the award ceremony, Priyanka wrote, "It's a moment for Indian Cinema...Big shout and congratulations to all." She also tagged the rest of the film's team, including actors Kani Kusruti, Divyaprabha, and Chhaya Kadam.

In another Instagram story, Priyanka also showered praise for Anasuya Sengupta, who created history by becoming the first Indian to win the Best Actress award for her performance in The Shameless at the Cannes Film Festival.

Priyanka wrote, "Congratulations on your incredible performance and the history you have created."

Meanwhile, After winning the award, Payal Kapadia spoke to Brut India, describing her victory at the Cannes Film Festival as "absolutely unbelievable." She said, "I am pinching myself. I am very grateful and feel privileged." During her acceptance speech, Payal thanked the Cannes Film Festival but urged, "Please don't wait 30 years to feature another Indian film."

For the unversed, Payal Kapadia won the 'le prix du documentaire' for Best Documentary at Cannes for 'A Night of Knowing Nothing.' Her first feature film is titled 'All We Imagine As Light.'

On the work front, Priyanka recently wrapped filming for an upcoming Hollywood project and is set to appear alongside Idris Elba and John Cena in the action-comedy film ‘Heads of State,’ directed by Ilya Naishuller. Apart from this, she also has 'The Bluff', directed by Frank E. Flowers, in the pipeline.
