Priyadarshan always lands in trouble when he tries to remake films without acquiring proper permission. The latest was when he made his Poi Solla Porom in Tamil directed by his long time associate Vijay.
First he said that it was an original version, but now he says it is a remake of the trendsetting multiplex film Khosla Ka Ghosala, directed by Dipankar Banerjee, featuring Anupam Kher and Boman Irani.
The market buzz is that Priyan had to shell out a whopping amount after the producers filed a case against him which was settled out of court. More trouble has come for Priyadarshan and his company on the eve of the release of the film.
S Shanmugham, a Tamil producer, claims that the title Poi Solla Porom was first registered by him with the Tamil Film Producers Council. Now who is telling the truth?
