Pritam Chakraborty’s father passes away in Mumbai

Pritam Chakraborty lost his father, Prabodh Chakraborty on Sunday. The

composer’s father had been admitted to a hospital since the past two years and breathed his last at the age of 86. "Pritam, his mother and sister were with Prabodh Chakraborty in the hospital till the end. He was suffering from Parkinson and Alzheimer," a source was quoted by Mumbai Mirror.

The family performed the last rites on Sunday in Amboli, in the presence of only close family members due to the present healthcare situation.



Pritam has been working on several big Bollywood projects recently. He was a part of Ranveer Singh starrer ‘83. The cricket drama is directed by Kabir Khan and was scheduled to hit the screens on April 10. Apart from this, Pritam has also collaborated with Ayan Mukerji for his dream venture ‘Brahmastra’. The Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer sci-fi drama is aimed for release in December this year. ‘Brahmastra’ also features Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles.
