Karan Johar had previously announced that he would be making a film on Amish Tripathi's bestseller 'The Immortals Of Meluha', but seems like the project has finally landed up with filmmaker Shekhar Kapur. A global studio is venturing into India and has roped in the ‘Mr India’ director to helm a series adaptation from the Shiva trilogy novels, reports Variety. Suparn S Varma will be collaborating with Shekhar Kapur on this project. Amish Tripathi had also shared the news on Twitter.




Preity Zinta is also working on a project for the International Art Machine studio, which is also handling Shekhar Kapur's project. The actress will be part of a thriller titled ‘The Kitty Party’. Describing the project, Preity Zinta told Variety, “’The Kitty Party’ is a female driven murder mystery that moonlights between being a dramedy and thriller. Too early to comment more except that we cannot wait to get started. I’m sure we will have as much fun filming this as we had putting it together.”
