Preity Zinta celebrates as Punjab Kings secure Shreyas Iyer for ₹26.75 crore

Preity Zinta was seen happy after her IPL team, Punjab Kings, bought Shreyas Iyer during the IPL Mega Auction in Jeddah. She and Ness Wadia, along with the coaches and management, competed with Delhi Capitals in a bidding war. Reportedly, Iyer was sold to PBKS for ₹26.75 crore, making him one of the most expensive players this season.

After the first day of the auction, the actress shared her thoughts on Instagram. She posted a picture of herself holding the name cards of Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis, with the caption, “Day 1, nothing less than A1!

Preity was dressed in a traditional outfit for the auction. She wore a white kurta-pajama paired with a phulkari dupatta. She completed her look with her open hair and a beautiful bindi. Earlier this year, she was seen in a similar outfit at the IPL 2024 matches.

On the work front, Preity was last seen in the 2018 film 'Bhaiaji Superhit', where she starred opposite Sunny Deol. The movie, directed by Neeraj Pathak, features a cast that includes Arshad Warsi, Ameesha Patel, and Shreyas Talpade.
