Prakash Jha's 'Matto Ki Saikil' ticket to be priced at Rs 75 on September 16 despite postponing National Cinema Day

Multiplex Association of India (MAI) on Tuesday said that the National Cinema Day, which was earlier scheduled to be celebrated on September 16, will now be held on September 23. The MAI said the the decision was taken "on request from various stakeholders and in order to maximise participation". Over 4000 screens at multiplexes from across the country, including PVR, INOX, Cinepolis, Carnival, and Delite, have teamed up to offer "celebratory admission price" of Rs 75 to mark the National Cinema Day.
However, ETimes has learnt that Prakash Jha's film 'Matto Ki Saikil' will be priced at Rs 75 on September 16. A source informed, "Prakash Jha has convinced PVR to keep 'Matto' tickets on 16th for Rs 75 only even though National Cinema Day has been moved from 16th to 23rd September."

Prakash Jha said, "PVR has agreed to the ticket price of Rs 75. 'Brahmastra' has it own economics and reasons to request to postpone National Cinema Day. As it is the weekend price for my film is Rs 150 and for weekdays it is Rs 100."
'Matto Ki Saikil' is a slice-of-life film written and directed by M Gani. Prakash Jha plays 'Matto' who is a daily-wage laborer and has a special attachment to his bicycle. The film also stars Anita Choudhary, Aarohi Sharma, Idhika Roy, Dimpy Mishra, CP Sharmaa, and Aryan Madar.
