Sudhir Mishra’s Yeh Saali Zindagi that’s releasing worldwide on February 4 is a fun, racy, zany thriller with its fair share of lip-locks. Yup in YSZ, Delhi boy Arunoday Singh plays a simple-minded crook called Kuldeep, whose approach to love is straight-forward. He loves his girl (Aditi Rao Hydari) and he believes that the best way to shut her up every time they have a fight is to kiss her on the lips.
That way there is no scope for any argument, he feels.
One of his lines in the film is, “Shaadi ki thi Sridevi se, nikli Phoolan Devi.” So, driven by passion for his girl is Kuldeep, that he is ever ready to lock lips with her, be it in a rickshaw, public place, their bedroom or their kitchen. And the intensity of the kiss can’t be measured because it comes naturally to him. Sudhir Mishra, who has directed this romantic thriller, says, “I find it very odd when physicality in a romantic relationship is depicted coyly, or people seem almost apologetic about it, hurrying through it!” Arunoday and Aditi — the young lovers of Yeh Saali Zindagi — seem to know how to savour their on-screen lip-locks. They will vouch for it.Follow us on Twitter for more stories
