Pics: All the action from the sets of Akshay Kumar and Radhika Apte’s ‘Padman’

Fresh from the success of ‘Jolly LLB 2’, Akshay Kumar has begun work on his next project ‘Padman’. The actor has headed to Maheshwar for the first schedule of the film, which is being produced by his wife Twinkle Khanna.

The crew shot a romantic song featuring Akshay and Radhika Apte at Maheshwar in Madhya Pradesh. Stills of the actor riding a bicycle with his co-star surfaced online, thus giving Akshay’s fans a fair idea of what to expect from the film.
‘Padman’ is based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a social entrepreneur from Coimbatore who invented a low-cost sanitary pad making machine and helped spread awareness about traditional unhygienic practices around menstruation in rural India. ‘Padman’ also features Sonam Kapoor in a prominent role.
