Reema Lagoo passed away following a cardiac arrest at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital in Andheri, Mumbai, in the wee hours of Thursday. Remembered for her roles in ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ and many more films, the veteran actress passed away at the age of 59.
Many Bollywood personalities showed up for the late actress’ last rites.
Aamir Khan rushed with his wife Kiran Rao to the veteran actress’ residence.
The actor expressed great shock at her untimely demise and also reminisced how he acted with Lagoo in his debut film – ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’. He also recalled how Reema would bat for social causes with the vigour of a youngster. He said that he prayed may her soul rest in peace. "She was healthy and doing well. Her sudden death is saddening. My first film was with Reemaji 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak'. She was a brilliant actor with a heart of gold. She had great interest in social issues, much better than youngsters. May her soul rest in peace," the 'Dangal star added. Director-actor

Kajol, who played on-screen daughter to Reema Lagoo in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, was spotted at the Oshiwara crematorium as she paid her last respects.
Rishi Kapoor too bid farewell to the talented actress. As the late actress acted in many Marathi films over the years, many members of the Marathi film fraternity also made it to the funeral. Notably, Manoj Joshi, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Mahesh Kothare and Ramesh Bhatkar attended the service.
A number of Bollywood stars remembered the late actress fondly with heartfelt messages on social media platforms.
