'Pichwade mein takat hai toh Salman Khan ko ban karke dikhaye': Rakhi Sawant defends Ranveer Singh, slams FWICE and Farhan Akhtar

Rakhi Sawant has reacted to the ongoing controversy surrounding Ranveer Singh and Don 3, strongly defending the actor while taking aim at FWICE and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar.

The controversy erupted after reports claimed that the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) had issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer following his reported exit from Don 3. While the matter continues to spark debate within the film industry, Rakhi has now publicly voiced her support for the actor.

‘Ranveer par har banda jalta hai,’ says Rakhi

Speaking to paparazzi in Mumbai on Tuesday evening, Rakhi questioned why Ranveer Singh was being singled out and claimed that the actor was being targeted because of his success.

“Main condemn karti hoon. Jin logon ne Ranveer ko ban kiya hai... mujhe bahut gussa aa raha hai. Kyunki woh superstar hai, Ranveer par har banda jalta hai. Inke pichwade mein takat hai toh Salman Khan ko ban karke dikhaye, mere bhai ko. Ek-ek ko uda kar Salman bhai band baja dega. Ranveer apni mehnat se aaya hai, Deepika Padukone aur Ranveer dono apni mehnat se aaye hain,” she said.

Rakhi alleges Farhan Akhtar is using Ranveer’s name for publicity

Rakhi also took a dig at Farhan Akhtar, who is backing Don 3 under his production banner, alleging that the filmmaker was benefiting from the publicity surrounding Ranveer’s name.

“Salman Khan ko aise log ban karke dikhaye, woh bata denge. FWICE, aap log humare Ranveer se jalte ho kyunki unhone lagatar superhit filmein di hain. Aap mein dum hai toh Salman ko touch karke batao, woh tumhari baja dega. Farhan Akhtar jitna apni filmon mein superhit nahi hua, woh kahin dikha nahi, ab Ranveer ke naam par publicity nikal raha hai aur woh dikh gaya hai,” Rakhi added.

Don 3 remains at the centre of industry controversy

The Don franchise is regarded as one of Bollywood’s most popular action-thriller series. After Shah Rukh Khan played the lead in the previous two films, Ranveer Singh was announced as the new face of Don 3.

In recent weeks, however, the project has been surrounded by controversy amid reports of disagreements between Ranveer Singh and the makers regarding the film’s future.
