Abhishek Bachchan has been a long-time fan of Chelsea. Last year when he had received a special letter from the club, where captain Cesar Azpilicueta wished him a speedy recovery from COVID-19, it made the actor’s day. On Saturday night, The English Premier League club once again gave him the chance to celebrate something special.
As Chelsea won the Champions League for the second time by beating arch-rivals Manchester City 1-0, Abhishek burst into celebration.He was glued to his TV screen as the two English giants were vying for the top European glory. The actor shared a candid photo in which you can see him standing in front of the screen and his arms spread out while Chelsea team members celebrating their victory. A super excited Abhishek captioned the photo: "CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE!!! Top performance. Come on Chelsea!!! @chelseafc #Believe."
Chelsea won their second Champions League trophy denying Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City their first courtesy Kai Havertz’s first-half goal in Saturday’s all-English final at the Estadio Do Dragao.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Abhishek Bachchan will next be seen in ‘Bob Biswas’, being directed by Sujoy Ghosh’s daughter Diya Annapurna Ghosh. The standalone film with a ‘Kahaani’ connection also stars Chitrangada Singh in the lead.
