Photos: Karan Johar heads to Rajasthan for the recce of his magnum opus film 'Takht'

Karan Johar is all set to don the director's hat once again with his upcoming project 'Takht'. With an ensemble star cast comprising of Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Anil Kapoor, fans are eager to see 'Takht' on the silver screen.
Taking to Instagram, KJo shared a series of posts as he headed to Rajasthan for the recce of the film. Captioning the first picture, Karan wrote, "#TAKHT recce begins!" followed by a series of other pictures from the location.



The film which is based in the Mughal era will see Ranveer playing the role of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan’s eldest son Dara Shikoh, whereas Vicky will portray his younger brother, Aurangzeb.
While the makers are yet to announce the release date of the multi-starrer high budget film, it is reported to release in 2021. With reports of the film going on floors in February, the film which is based in the Mughal era will be one of the biggest films in the history of Indian cinema.
