Pawan Kripalani, who had directed the successful horror film 'Ragini MMS', is set to surprise us once again with his next offering, 'Phobia'. The psychological thriller features Radhika Apte as the protagonist, Mehak. An artist, she is trapped in her own house and can neither go outdoors nor stay indoors as she suffers from Agoraphobia (an extreme or irrational fear of open or public places).

An excited Radhika says, 'Phobia is the first psychological thriller of my career and also one of the most challenging and complex characters that I have ever played.'

Quiz Pawan about what prompted him to tackle such a subject and he replies, 'Today, living with fear is an everyday affair. All of us are phobic about something. I wanted to make a film that captures our fears and the paranoia of daily urban life.' Producer Viki Rajani is hopeful that viewers, who like watching psychological thrillers, will enjoy the unique narrative. He says, 'It's a new-age thriller, a genre which has not been attempted before in Bollywood. Apart from an intriguing script, the film has a great director and actor combination in the form of Pawan and Radhika.' 'Phobia', produced by Eros International and Next Gen Films, releases on May 27.
