After an enviable string of firsts in the West, Priyanka Chopra made her Oscar debut just a few hours ago. And the run-up was as thrilling as D-Day. Priyanka Chopra is now gearing up to make inroads into Punjabi cinema with an as-yet-untitled film featuring

Ishaan Dutta, who is co-producing the film with

and her mother
Dr Madhu Chopra
, says the film will be shot in India and Canada and they are looking at a November release. "It is a coming-of-age film, tracing the protagonist's journey over a couple of years," says Ishaan.
With Priyanka busy with her Quantico shoot and her Hollywood debut, 'Baywatch', does she take time off to look into her regional productions? "She's a hands-on producer and an integral part of the script selection process no matter which part of the world she is in. Marathi and Punjabi cinema are script driven markets which pushed us into tapping it too," he points out.
