Paying tribute to Dilip Roy through his music

kolkata: it was an evening of melodoius songs. the 105th birth anniversary of dilip kumar roy was celebrated at gd birla sabhagar on january 22. some of the eminent personalities from the music world of bengal graced the ocassion. they also paid tribute to the renowned singer by singing some of his famous songs. among the artists who were present at the function were haimanti shukla, saoli mitra, sharmila bose rosling and prabuddha raha.a variety of songs were sung by the artists and from adhunik geeti to nazrul geeti, all could be heard under one roof. such big names seldom come together on one platform showcasing a variety of arts. kolkata could do with more such evenings.
