Parveen Babi biopic, Kantara 2, Crocodile necklace: 5 times Urvashi Rautela's 'lies' were called out

Urvashi Rautela commands a huge fan following on social media and across the nation. However, more often than not, the actress is seen hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons. She has been called out for 'lying' in public several times in the past. From the recent Parveen Babi biopic statement to wearing cartier crocodile jewellery, here we list down five times when Urvashi was called out for her 'lies'.

In a press statement, Urvashi Rautela had earlier stated that she has officially signed the project and will be leading the Parveen Babi biopic as an actress. However, the absence of the makers of the said project from the photocall, raised suspicion, and latest media reports now suggest that Urvashi's claim of starring in Parveen Babi biopic is 'bogus news'. A media portal also quoted a source claiming that Urvashi is 'lying' and that no such project is being made. Another source from the trade circuit told the news portal that it is an act to get 'attention and limelight'.

Urvashi Rautela made a splash at the red carpet of Cannes film Festival this year with her fashion statements. Apart from her gorgeous outfits, what grabbed eyeballs was her cartier crocodile jewellery that left everyone in awe. Her team wrote on social media that the necklace worn by the actress was worth over Rs 200 crore. However, netizens rubbished the claims and insisted that she in fact, is wearing a cheap copy.

Urvashi Rautela made headlines after she shared a photo with 'Kantara' star Rishabh Shetty on Instagram and captioned it, '#KANTARA 2 @rishabshettyofficial @hombalefilms loading #RS'. Her post indicated that she was a part of the recently announced prequel. However, a source close to the production banner Hombale Films was quick to shut down the rumours. They clarified that Urvashi was not part of Kantara 2. The source went on to say that Urvashi was only at the same place as Rishab and just clicked a photograph with him.

After her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival in 2022, Urvashi Rautela revealed in an interview with a news portal that she met Leonardo Dicaprio and he was all praise for her. According to her, the Hollywood star even called her a talented actress. She added that it was an emotional and dream-come-true moment for her. However, netizens were far from believing her claims and went on to tag her as a 'liar'.

Urvashi had shared a video of herself promoting an international cricket league in 2018. In the video, she was seen wearing a Tom Ford creation. She even thanked them for the outfit in her caption. However, a social media page shared a video collage of Beyonce performing on the left and Urvashi on the right side. He pointed out how the outfit worn by Urvashi was not a Tom Ford creation. There was no denial or clarification from her team.
