Pantanloons Femina Miss India World 2008, Parvathy Omanakuttan, who debuted in Bollywood with Vishal Aryan Singh's "United Six" earlier this year, is now looking southwards. "I am doing a film down South, it's a Tamil film," she informs. Though "United Six" was a debacle at the Box Office, this beauty queen hasn't hung up her acting skills in Hindi industry yet.
All she is doing right now is, "I am taking it slow.

I don't want to just rush into anything for its glamour quotient," says Parvathy who has idolized the likes of Shabana Azmi and Smita Patil as actresses.
"I am being approached by new age directors for Hindi films. This is a good time for Indian films; it's no longer just about a chocolate boy romancing a pretty girl. It has got more substance now." That said, Parvathy clears that she is not decrying commercial cinema. "I am not against masala films all I am asking for is a little more effort on the content part," she says. "Naturally, for someone like me who has looked up to Smita and Shabana all her life, you can't expect me to happily nod to pure commercial gimmicks," says Parvathy who has been utilizing her time travelling for the social causes she espouses and doing fashion shows, which is also reason why she couldn't focus wholly on acting so far.
