Paresh Rawal, who was not a part of 'OMG 2' starring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi, recently revealed that he cooked up the story of the film with director Amit Rai.
In an interview with India Today, the veteran star said that he doesn't think that the film would have done any better if he were in it. He also shared that he was the one who cooked up the story of OMG 2 with Amit Rai. According to him, in the first part, there was a case against God, so adding God in the second part was not necessary. Nevertheless, Rawal concluded by saying that he is happy to see that the film is a hit.
Before the movie was officially certified, there were reports suggesting that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) was being very careful. They wanted to avoid a situation similar to what happened with the release of Adipurush earlier this year. The makers of Adipurush faced widespread protests and had to edit and change some dialogues in the film after it was already in theaters.
OMG 2 was eventually assigned an A certificate after weeks of speculations that the filmmakers wanted a U/A certificate.
The new film aimed to propagate the importance of sex education in schools. It also starred Yami Gautam in the lead role. The film received positive reviews from the audience and the critics alike.
