Directed by Kabir Khan, the film features Ranveer Singh in the lead and narrates the story of India’s historic win at the 1983 cricket world cup. Apart from this, Pankaj Tripathi will also be seen in Bachchan Pandey, sharing the frame with Akshay Kumar. He will reportedly join the Jaisalmer schedule and shoot with Akshay, Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez and Arshad Warsi. Pankaj Tripathi will also be seen in Sanjay Gupta's Mumbai Saga.
