'She said yes!': Palash Muchhal PROPOSES to Smriti Mandhana at historic DY Patil Stadium, shares heartfelt VIDEO

India’s star cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer-filmmaker Palash Muchhal are all set for a new beginning. The couple, who are expected to get married on 23 November, became the centre of attention online after Palash shared a heart-touching video of his proposal. The clip instantly captured the attention of fans across the country.

Palash proposed Smriti at the historic cricket ground

Palash Muchhal posted a warm and emotional video on Instagram that showed the moment he proposed to Smriti Mandhana. The proposal took place at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. It is the same ground where Team India lifted the Women’s World Cup 2025 trophy.





In the video, Palash Muchhal is seen going down on one knee on the pitch. Smriti looked stunning in a red dress and had a surprised and happy reaction which made the moment even more special. In the final frames of the video, Smriti casually showed her engagement ring. Palash added the caption “She said yes”, and fans quickly commented warm wishes to the couple.

Smriti Mandhana had confirmed engagement through fun reel

Earlier, Smriti chose a fun and relaxed way to confirm her engagement. She posted an Instagram reel with her closest teammates Jemimah Rodrigues, Shreyanka Patil and Radha Yadav. The group danced to the song ‘Samjho Ho Hi Gaya’ from the film ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’. Smriti joined them with a bright smile. At the end of the reel, she simply lifted her hand and flashed her engagement ring. Fans loved the cheerful and natural reveal.

PM sent warm wishes to the couple

Prime Minister Narendra Modi too shared a warm and thoughtful letter for the couple. His message quickly caught attention because of the sincere words used in the note. He described their marriage as the joining of two accomplished journeys. He spoke about love, trust and companionship being the strong base of any relationship. He also wished them the grace to support each other through shared responsibilities.

The Prime Minister also mentioned their wedding date in his letter. This detail has not been officially announced by the couple themselves. His note arrived soon after Smriti posted her fun reel, which added a meaningful and well-timed touch to the celebrations.
