Palak Tiwari on Operation Sindoor: ‘Happy India fought back, but I hope for peace’

Actress Palak Tiwari has shared a rather mixed response to India’s Operation Sindoor, expressing both pride and a yearning for peace.

The actress shared her views on the retaliatory strike following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians. Amidst growing tensions, she shared her views to News18 Showsha saying that "It’s really unfortunate and deeply saddening that it had to come to this, because lives matter."

She went on to state that she understands that such a call would not have been made, if not absolutely necessary, but also shared her plea for peace. While reiterating that war should never be the first answer, Palak added, “I'm happy India stood up and fought back. But more than anything, I hope for peace, that one day we won't need to retaliate at all.”

Celebrities Rally Behind the Armed Forces
The film industry poured in support after the announcement. Stars like Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Sidharth Malhotra, among many others, lauded the armed forces. Kareena posted, “Grateful to our brave forces. Let’s stand united against terrorism.” Akshay tweeted, “Jai Hind Jai Mahakaal.”

Director Karan Johar posted, “Dil se… Salute and immense gratitude to our Armed Forces.” Mammootty praised the operation saying, “You make the nation proud,” while Kamal Haasan called it “the resolute response of a strong nation.”
