The Uri attacks led to MNS warning Pakistani actors working in India to go back to their country and the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) passing a resolution which bans Pakistani actors and technicians from working in India till the relations between the two nations get normal. The ban has divided the Bollywood with some supporting it, some being against it and some choosing not to say anything about it.

While most Pakistani artists choose to remain silent, actress Mawra Hocane openly condemned the terror attacks. She tweeted, 'I strongly condemn all terror attacks We must realise that a life lost is a LIFE LOST!The world needs to stand together against terrorism!'

In another tweet she said, 'Yes Hugs please !!! #Ranbir,' while sharing a photo of Ranbir Kapoor, where he is seen saying, 'I want India and Pakistan to hug each other.'

The 'Roy' actor however had chosen to not say much regarding the ban. He had said that he doesn't want to sound preachy and like a healer talker. 'We are living in some hard times right now and let's not get swept away by all the bitterness, negativity, and the violence happening around the globe,' Ranbir Kapoor had reportedly said and suggested everyone to believe that the world is a beautiful place to live in.
