Pakistani model turned actor Mehreen Syed who was supposed to make her Bollywood debut in filmmaker Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan’s upcoming movie has been dropped out of the film. In fact the director has strongly commented that to work with an actress from across is very stressful.
As reported Chauhan said, "It's unfortunate, but true. I am not working with Mehreen Syed any more in my film.

Circumstances are such that we cannot really cope with the stress of having an actress from across the border in our project."
However, when we contacted Mehreen in Pakistan she said, “ I was all excited to do my Bollywood debut film. I have been visiting India on and off but recently due to visa problems have been unable to give the shoot dates to the director. I have given my best but I totally understand the directors' problem and its ok if he has dropped me from the movie I have no grudge against him. But that doesn’t mean that I shall not try for Bollywood movies. I have been still getting offers and will surely one day make it to the big screen of Indian cinema. Frankly being dropped from one movie is not the end of the story. Yeh sab toh chalta rehta hai. Recently my movie in Pakistan, 'Chambeli' was a super hit and I’m overwhelmed with the audience's reaction.”
Mehreen recently got married two months back to a Pakistani businessman Ahmed Sheikh. Ahmed is son of a leading Pakistani designer Nasreen Humayun and has two children from his first marriage. But Mehreen is happy to be married to Ahmed, she says, “We have known each other for a long time and finally we took the decision to get married. Ahmed is very supportive. I shall continue my modeling and movies and he has no objection at all.” When do we see her in India? “ I hope to visit India in month of September. Abh inshallah I’m enjoying my new life with my husband.”
