Online poll names Ash, Madhuri most popular mothers

Ahead of Mother's Day May 12, a popular matrimonial website conducted an online poll with women in India to find out whom they considered celebrated mothers. Typically, most responses settled on film actresses. Asked who the most popular mother was, 52.38% Indian women chose Aishwarya Rai Bachchan followed by Madhuri Dixit Nene (29.27%) and Sridevi (18.35%).
The poll further reveals that 2.26% Indian women believe Neetu Singh and Ranbir Kapoor share India's most popular mother-son relationship while 60.48% women feel that Tanuja and Kajol share the most popular mother-daughter relationship.When it comes to striking the right balance between career and family life, Indian women chose Malaika Arora Khan (40.1%), Mary Kom (30.37%) and Sonia Gandhi (29.53%).
This online poll received over 16,000 responses. Gourav Rakshit, COO of Shaadi.com, which conducted the poll, said, "The poll showcases some of the most successful Indian women whose love and dedication also makes them popular mothers. This suggests the people are looking at celebrities as real people with real relationships. The poll is part of the consistent research that we do to gauge the preferences of today's youth."
