On Hanuman Jayanti, Om Raut unveils new Adipurush poster featuring Devdatta Nage as Hanuman

On the festive occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, director Om Raut decided to treat fans with a fresh new poster of ‘Adipurush’. Actor Devdatta Nage is seen meditating as Hanuman in this glimpse from the movie. This film is inspired from Hindu epic Ramayana and stars Prabas as Ram, who is seen in the backdrop of this poster.
"Ram ke Bhakt aur Ramkatha ke praan...Jai Pavanputra Hanuman (a devotee of Ram and life of Ramkatha...Hail Lord Hanuman) Adipurush releases globally in theatres on June 16, 2023,” wrote the filmmaker.
A few days ago, Om Raut had introduced another poster of the movie, which had landed the makers in trouble. According to a news portal, a complaint was filed against the producer of Adipurush, director Om Raut and the cast of the film for hurting the religious sentiments of people by inappropriately displaying the character of Hindu mythology. The complainant had alleged that the new poster of ‘Adipurush’ shows Lord Ram in a costume contrary to the natural spirit and nature of Ramcharitmanas mentioned in the Hindu scripture.
Last year, when the film’s teaser was unveiled, ‘Adipurush’ had faced a lot of flak for poor VFX. Soon after, the makers had announced that they have delayed the release of the movie.
