Omung Kumar celebrates National Award win, Priyanka absent

It's been a rewarding award season for 'Mary Kom' director Omung Kumar who, along with Sandeep Singh, former CEO of producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, decided to toast his wins, including a National Award, with a party at a rooftop restaurant. His Million Dollar Baby, Priyanka Chopra, was away in LA, at another bash to announce her ABC TV show, 'Quantico', and called late at night to convey her regrets.
Sonakshi Sinha came with siblings, Luv and Kush and sis-in-law, Taruna. Her presence fuelled speculations that she could end up playing Dalbir Kaur in the Sarabjit biopic which rolls in October with Omung as director.Subhash Ghai had originally conceived the film with her before it went into cold storage. Ghai addressed Omung as 'uncle' because he'd won awards others coveted all their life. The filmmaker got groovy with Jeetendra, Rakesh Roshan and Anupam Kher who had driven all the way from Karjat.

Gulshan Devaiah came with his 'Cabaret' co- star Richa Chadda whose moods he wants to get familiar with as part of his prep. “That's why they are always together these days," pointed out a guest.
