Om Puri's 'cop' in the act!

Om Puri may have played a police officer in several of his films ��� right from Droh Kaal to Ardh Satya to Dev and from Gupt to Maqbool ��� but his role in Baabarr promises to see the actor take playing a cop to an altogether different level.
Playing an inspector ��� on the verge of frustration ��� his character has enough twists to keep the audiences on the edge of their seats, according to director Ashuu Trikha.���Omji can interpret his character so well, that only an actor of his calibre can then do justice to that role. And it becomes impossible to even imagine anyone else in that role.
He has played a police officer in his previous films, but with this film he is so brilliant that he has proven that he has competition only from himself,��� says Ashuu. Unwilling to reveal more about the character, Ashuu adds, ���It���s almost like he plays with his character and manipulates it to bring the best to the film. His performances are nothing short of brilliant and I believe that no filmmakers���s resume can ever be complete without having worked with a stalwart like Omji. He is one of the finest actors to work with.���
