Not attending court hearings, keeping a low profile, no social media presence: 5 ways in which Shah Rukh Khan maintained his dignity while fighting for Aryan Khan’s freedom

It was the end of a 28-day-ordeal for Shah Rukh Khan and his family after his son Aryan Khan was granted bail by the Bombay High Court and released from Arthur Road jail. While people across the nation have been celebrating this victory, they have also been showering praise on SRK for the way he conducted himself throughout the time his son was behind the bars. From not attending court hearings to keeping a low profile and having absolutely no social media presence, here are ways in which the superstar maintained his dignity and grace while he fought for Aryan’s freedom.

2/6

No court appearances

Right from the time Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 3 to the day he was released from Arthur Road jail on October 30, Shah Rukh Khan never once attended his court proceedings. While it would have been difficult to watch allegations being levelled against his son, his presence would have also affected the court proceedings with media and his fans thronging outside to get reactions from him. So the superstar kept himself away from it and let his wife Gauri Khan, his manager Pooja Dadlani and his legal team take the lead.

3/6

A quick visit to jail

After keeping himself away from the glares of the media and the public for a long time, Shah Rukh Khan finally made his way to Arthur Road jail to visit his son Aryan after his bail application was rejected by the Sessions Court. The restrictions due to COVID-19 were eased up, on meeting with the prison inmates. Taking advantage of the same, SRK met his son inside the jail where he followed the process and protocols like others. He got no special treatment for being a superstar. He reportedly spoke to Aryan via intercom through a glass panel. He was seen quietly exiting the jail without making any fuss or giving out statements to the media.

4/6

Humble gesture in jail

While Shah Rukh Khan kept his public appearance and his visit to jail to meet Aryan quiet and low profile, what was noticeable was his humble gesture even during these trying times. The superstar was seen greeting the family of inmates waiting outside with folded hands. He reportedly sympathized with them and shared their pain as he returned after meeting Aryan inside the jail.

5/6

No statements released

Even though there was a huge hue and cry about the entire episode of Aryan Khan getting arrested and the allegations levelled against him, Shah Rukh Khan did not even once come out in public and address his fans or the media to lend any sort of clarification on the same. The superstar gracefully let the law take its course.

6/6

No social media presence

Ever since Aryan Khan’s arrest by the NCB, support has been pouring in from all sides from his fans, friends and Bollywood colleagues. While his Bollywood co-stars took to social media to sympathise with the superstar, his fans gathered outside his residence with posters and banners in solidarity. However, the superstar maintained a calm demeanour throughout. He did not post or share anything related to the case or otherwise on his social media handles.
