Sanjay Dutt clarifies, "It was definitely not me.
Why would I bash up another co-actor? Hemant Birje was drunk and behaving in very unruly manner at the party which was really embarrassing for the Bachchans."
While Birje has stated that he was invited to the party, Dutt says that Birje had gatecrashed.

"Jaya Bachchan told us to get him out of the party. I asked Bunty Walia to escort him to the gate. Nobody bashed him or pushed him out of the party," adds Dutt.
Producer Bunty Walia says, "It was me and not Sanjay Dutt who asked Birje to leave the party. Birje didnt argue nor did we get into any fight, in fact, the poor chap fell ill and had started vomiting in the party."
