Ritwik Sahore, the 12-year-old actor from Ferrari Ki Sawaari talks about his film, success and everything it entailsHow did you land a role in Ferrari Ki Sawaari? My house in Kandivali (East) was getting renovated. To stay away from all that noise, I had gone to a mall with my mother. The casting director of the film spotted me. He thought I looked like
Sachin Tendulkar and would fit the role. He started following me. He spoke to my mother. She initially thought that he was offering her a role (laughs). My parents sat me down and asked me whether I would like to act. They let me take the call. I wanted to try it out. The filmmakers were very considerate. They shot with me on days I did not need to go to school.
Darsheel Safary also started off like you. But then, reportedly, his father started asking for huge sums of money. Are you going to put a heavy price tag on yourself too?Firstly, I haven't decided what I want to do in life. But yes, now that
Ferrari Ki Sawaari has got good reviews, I think I should become an actor. But no, I will never put a heavy price tag on myself. I hate attitude. I want to be the way I am – grounded. If I don't, people will start hating me.
Tell us about your favourite scene in the film. The scene I like most is where
Sharman Joshi goes to the bank to request a loan. I want to see that scene over and over again.
Your favourite film and actor?I love all films. But
Golmaal 3 and
3 Idiots are my favourites. As for actors, I like Amitabh Bachchan Aamir Khan,
Boman Irani and Sharman Joshi.
Do you have a girlfriend?(Laughs) Not yet.
