While so many cricketers present and past have tried their hand at films, the Bollywood stars have done their bit by investing in cricket through IPL. The latest ruour is that it is Yuvraj Singhs turn to dabble in cinema in his father Yograjs film.
Except that Yuvi and his mother Shabnam Singh say otherwise.
As Shabnam tells DT, There is no truth in this. Yuvi has not been contacted by anyone to star in a film and he has not agreed to do any films either. The news is absurd. Yuvi is busy with his game and he has had no conversation about this with his father. In fact, he is not even aware about all this.Yuvraj, on his part, backs his mothers stance. He said in a message from Australia, Let me concentrate on my game right now. I have no plans to do a film and I am not even aware of such a project.Shabnam says what is even more bizarre is the fact that her younger son, Zorawar, is also suposed to act in the film. It is too much! There are no such plans, she says.Well, this Bollywood plan for Yuvi may not come to fruition, but there is no going away from his other Bollywood connect: the short-lived romance with Deepika Padukone. His mother answers, Its strange. Deepika is a nice girl but we never expected her to behave like this with Yuvi. My son is a very straightforward person and cant understand others at times.
