No buyers for Rang Rasiya

Ketan Mehta’s Rang Rasiya, produced by Mehta’s wife Deepa Sahi and Anand Mahendroo, on painter Raja Ravi Verma’s life, has failed to attract buyers.
So what if the female lead of the film, Nandana Sen, has done a topless scene in it? It only made potential buyers warier...
A friend of Mehta tells Mumbai Mirror, “Since a long time, Mehta has been talking to various firms but none of them has shown an inclination to buy and release the film.
Left with no option, Mehta will release the film himself. Recently, he started a distribution company as well.”
Adds Mehta’s friend, “Rang Rasiya is a very expensive film. Mehta is not getting the amount it deserves.”
Mehta confirms that he is releasing the film himself but defends, “We had a few hassles amongst ourselves and with the amount we took from a bank to do this film.
But it’s okay now. We are back on track.”
