Collaborating with his wife, ‘Dangal’ director Nitesh Tiwari said that he knows where to draw a line while working with Ashwiny as she is not entitled to take his opinions.
He said, “I know where to draw the line. She (Ashwiny) is not entitled to take my opinion. I don't intervene much with the director and as a director she is very capable.”
As the film is based in the heartlands of Uttar Pradesh, Nitesh said that he believes relationships are treated differently in small towns. “Relationships are given more importance in small towns,” he said.
Ashwiny was asked about Kriti being casted as a plain-Jane small town girl, to which she said, “Kriti is a very normal girl and suits in the role perfectly.” Speaking about his experience shooting with Kriti, Ayushmann said, “She is a playing a very desi real life character and she has done an amazing job.”
Ayushmann also spoke about his chemistry with Rajkummar. He said, “We (Rajkummar and Ayushmann) improvised a lot. Acting is mostly to do with reacting.” He further quipped that he was looking forward to work on a desi rom-com like ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, “I think I was always looking forward to a film like this as Nitesh Tiwari could be the only one who could write such a script.”
Signing off on a ‘sweet’ note, Ayushmann declared that he has a crazy sweet tooth, “I have a crazy sweet tooth. More than chocolate, I love (Indian) sweets. In this film, Kriti's father is a mithaai wala so I used to eat sweets every day.”
