Says Tammu as she is affectionately known, ���I was shooting in Mahabalipuram with Suryaji till Friday. I want to celebrate my birthday with family and friends in Mumbai. It will be a quiet affair. We will go for dinner to a Juhu hotel. I will be back to work on Monday.������It is her dedication, discipline and hard work that has made Tamannaah, hot and happening in south cinema.
She is a complete professional who is totally committed to her films,��� says Dhanush who has just completed Padikathavan with her. Kollywood pundits are betting big on Tamannaah, who they feel will be the next big thing in the industry.
Take a look at her line-up of films for 2009. She has a complete heroine-oriented role opposite new boy Siddharth in Gandhi Krishna���s emotional love story Ananda Thandavam, due for Pongal. The movie has peppy music by GV Prakash. Remember she proved that she was an actress of substance with Balaji Sakthivel���s Kalloori? Another big Pongal release of hers is Padikathavan, where she is teaming up with Dhanush for the first time. The film directed by top commercial director Sooraj is said to be a comedy action entertainer. And her next big flick is Surya���s mass entertainer Ayan directed by KV Anand. The movie is due next summer.Meanwhile, Tamannaah has signed up two more films in Tamil. She is doing the Tamil remake of Kareena Kapoor���s super hit Jab We Met for Moserbaer, directed by Kannan and titled Raja Rani. The shoot of the film in which she is paired with Bharath will start in February. She created a stir when she replaced Nayanthara in Lingusami���s Paiyya, where Karthi is the hero. These two films will keep her occupied till June, before she signs a new film. As of now, the grapevine has it that she is the frontrunner to play Vijay���s heroine in his 50th film.She also has a very big Telugu film, Koncham Ishtam Koncham Kashtam with Siddharth, coming up for release on Valentine���s Day.Tamannaah is Kollywood���s favourite heroine and is all set to be the star of 2009.
