Nikkhil Advani reveals why he has no plans of working with Salman Khan: 'He feels bad if his films make less than Rs 300 crore'

Filmmaker Nikkhil Advani praises Salman Khan as the 'messiah' of the film industry, highlighting the superstar's unwavering support. Despite their successful collaborations on Salaam-e-Ishq and Hero, Advani reveals why he remains hesitant to direct another film with Salman. The star-studded Salaam-e-Ishq featured Priyanka Chopra, Govinda, and Anil Kapoor, while Hero marked the debut of Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty.

In an interview with Lallantop, Nikkhil explained why he hasn’t worked with Salman Khan again despite their strong rapport. He cited the immense box office pressure associated with a Salman Khan film as the main reason.



Advani explained that Salman's films are expected to earn over Rs 300 crore, and falling short of this can be tough on Salman. Advani admitted he doesn’t want the pressure of hitting such high numbers, preferring to work on projects he is passionate about, despite his deep admiration for Salman.




The filmmaker described the 'Dabangg' star as someone who would drop everything to help in an emergency, showcasing his commitment and support. While he holds Salman in high regard and considers him the industry's "messiah," Advani prefers to avoid the stress of achieving box office hits in the Rs 300-400 crore range.



Nikkhil Advani recently shared with Galatta Plus that after his fallout with Karan Johar post Kal Ho Na Ho, Salman Khan reached out, insisting he work on a film for him. This led to Salaam-e-Ishq and eventually Hero, despite both films flopping shortly after each other.
