In recent months, several celebrities have hit the headlines after they found themselves in scary situations, watching helplessly as their security faltered and frenzied crowds quickly spiralled out of control. From Niddhi Agerwal's song launch and Katrina Kaif's Kumbh Mela appearance to Allu Arjun's film premiere and Deepika Padukone's airport spotting, here are five instances where actors were mobbed by their adoring fans.

Actor Nidhhi Agerwal made headlines on Thursday as she was hounded by fans at the launch of the song ‘Sahana Sahana’ from her upcoming film ‘The Raja Saab’. The event, held in Hyderabad on Wednesday night, saw a large turnout of fans eager to catch a glimpse of the actress. However, videos see the beauty stuck in a rather uncomfortable situation, surrounded on all sides by men. Despite security measures, the actress was seen struggling to make her way to her car, as a few men did their best to help clear the way for the star, leaving netizens irked by the crowd's behaviour and raising alarm over the actress' safety.

Janhvi Kapoor may have gone viral for shouting 'bharat mata ki jai' at a Dahi Handi event in Ghatkopar, Mumbai, but it was her video braving a frenzied crowd that grabbed eyeballs. The actress, who was promoting her film ‘Param Sundari’, found herself amid swarms of fans and paparazzi, trying to get her pictures as she attempted to leave the venue. She was reportedly pushed multiple times and appeared visibly uncomfortable as she politely tried to make her way to her waiting car, with the help of her security team.

Katrina Kaif’s visit to the Maha Kumbh in 2025, along with her family, also saw crowds getting too close for comfort. The actress, who opted to head to the VIP section, was seen surrounded by priests, security personnel, fans, paparazzi and fellow devotees, as she took a holy dip with her mother-in-law. Viral clips showed he actress surrounded on all sides with one reaching out to her to place a towel on her shoulders, while others crowded around to get photos, and the paparazzi also stepped in for sound bites.

One of the most serious instances of fan frenzy spiralling out of control was during the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2’ in December 2024 at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. Actor Allu Arjun was mobbed by fans, leading to a tragic stampede after a crowd surge and gate collapse. The incident resulted in the death of a woman and injuries to her son, which prompted a legal battle and an FIR filed against Allu Arjun and others involved.

In February 2024, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were mobbed by fans at Jamnagar airport as they made their first appearance after announcing they were expecting their first child together. Videos from the airport saw a large crowd of fans and the paparazzi gathered outside to meet the then parents-to-be, while others hoped to get a glimpse of the actress' baby bump. However, the situation soon got out of hand, with many crowding around the pregnant actress, prompting protective hubby Ranveer to step in and wrap his arms around his wife and help clear the way as they headed to their waiting car. The videos angered fans who were concerned about the actress, especially because she was pregnant with her first child.
