New mom Kiara Advani opens up on her biggest fear: 'We always pray and start working'

Bollywood star Kiara Advani recently admitted that she has one recurring fear whenever she is on a film set. The actor, who recently embraced motherhood, revealed that despite years in the industry, the bustling energy and technical setup of a shooting floor still make her uneasy.

Kiara says the set environment is the most dangerous

In a conversation with Anupama Chopra, Kiara confessed that her biggest fear is the possibility of lights falling during shoots. “Honestly, my biggest onset fear is the light falling. I’ll tell you why. The set environment is the most dangerous. You have so many cables and lights and spots, so many people above your head."


The 'Game Changer' actress further said that despite all safety measures and norms, she is constantly scared about what if something bad happens during the shoot.


Dance sequences, in particular, make her anxious. “When I am in a dance sequence and people are hanging above my head, I’m like, ‘God, please don’t let anyone get hurt. That’s why we always pray and start working,” she added.

Meanwhile, Kiara Advani recently did action scenes in 'War 2' starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR in the lead. The movie mostly received mixed reviews from the audiences.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Kiara has spoken about turning to prayer in her career. Back in 2020, in an interview with Bollywood Life, she recalled how she used to pray not to get trapped in stereotypes. “When I had started my career, I used to pray to not get stereotyped. I used to see actresses and put them in boxes. Whatever films I was offered, they were very different from each other. So it was not a conscious choice but something that I had hoped for,” she had said.

Reflecting on her journey, Kiara noted that she feels fortunate about the opportunities that came her way. “These films came to me, I wasn’t chasing a different role. I just got different offers. I just got lucky that people didn’t put me in a bracket,” she explained.

After 'War 2' what's next?

Kiara Advani is all set for her next outing with superstar Yash in Geethu Mohandas' directorial 'Toxic'. The movie revolves around a drug mafia in Goa in the early 90s and the expectations are quite high for the film.
