New girl on the block

Fazil, one of the most reputed directors in south Indian cinema has once again chosen a new girl Aswathy to be his heroine in his next film in Malayalam with Dileep.
Fazil has a track record over the years for introducing new girls to Malayalam, who later go on to become big stars in south He is the man who discovered Poornima Jayaram, Nadiya Moidu, Shalini and gave a new lease of life to Khushboo.
His new discovery Aswathy is a final year degree student at the prestigious St Theresa���s college (Asin is one of the most famous alumnae) in Kochi. She is originally from Kozhikode and her father Ashokh Kumar works in the Gulf.
���It is an honour to debut in a film directed by Fazil, opposite Dileep. Actually, I was supposed to be launched in a Tamil film to be made by Fazil, but it didn���t happen,��� says the pretty 19-year-old.
