“Is baar galat script chun li (you chose the wrong script this time),” commented one user, while another tweeted, “Ye Kartik bana hi legends ko copy karne ke liye hai, pehle akshay ab allu arjun (Kartik is born to copy legends, first Akshay and now Allu Arjun).”
Another comment on his post read, “Is baar overacting kardi (This time you’ve overacted).” ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ featured Allu and Pooja Hegde in lead roles, while ‘Shehzada’ stars Kartik and Kriti Sanon as lovers. This film marks Kartik-Kiara’s second collaboration after ‘Luka Chuppi’ (2019). ‘Shehzada’ is scheduled to hit the screens on February 10, 2023.
Speaking about the film, producer Bhushan Kumar had said in a statement, "Kartik is such a brilliant and nuanced actor and what better way to celebrate our very own Shehzada than this! The first look is a treat for his fans." Aman Gill also added, "Kartik is a dream to work with, we all had a blast shooting this film, his personality is infectious so we thought this would be a sweet little thing we did for his birthday to celebrate Shehzada's birthday with the first look of our film."
