While most actors in B-Town can’t wait to move into bachelor pads for want of privacy, Neil Nitin Mukesh says he’ll never be able to live without his family. The actor, who lives in South Mumbai, has to commute many hours on most days, as almost all the shooting locations in the city are located in the western suburbs. In fact, his father — singer Nitin Mukesh — has even suggested that he get himself a place closer to work, but the actor just refuses to live away from home.
A source close to the actor says, “When he is shooting in the city, Neil spends at least three hours on an average commuting from one end of the city to the other. For a while, he did get a place close to Andheri when he was shooting for a movie a few years back. But within a few days of setting up home, he got lonely and homesick. He decided to move right back in with his parents. That was the one and only attempt that he made to live by himself.”
Recently, it was reported that the actor had purchased some property in Prabhadevi and was doing up the place, but he has denied all reports of moving out. The place he is currently living in holds sentimental value as it is the same house he has grown up in. He has categorically said that either the whole family shifts or he stays put.
